This is just a quick article relating to how some groups are trying to use the Bible to make it seem as if they are there to bring out God's opinion from it, but the end result is that they are mostly saying what their opinion is, while just using some verses from the Bible to back up what they are saying. While watching a GOCC video I came across a prime example of this in action, where their top elder made a video that lasted 4 hours 58 minutes and 30 seconds, which then consisted of him talking for the vast amount of the time, while only reading a relatively small amount of the Bible. I was going to say more about what I had witnessed, but I have ended up with a lot more things to do of late, than when I first watched the video, so I am just putting out the information that I did get from sitting there and watching all of it, so that the effort was not wasted. The link to the video is:

and you will notice throughout the video that it is only one of them that is doing all of the talking, while the other one is faithfully reading out the Bible verses that are asked for. When the Apostles were speaking in the Bible, it seemed as if any of them could talk, while the others would listen to what they have to say, but with this elder you will notice that he is the one who likes to do all of the talking, while his other elders seem to have gotten used to being used as sidekicks. Below is a list of the Bible verses that I managed to make a note of, that were used along with the time codes for when each one was read:
Matthew 16:17-20 (15:00)
Ephesians 4:11 (25:00)
Hebrews 5:11 (40:45)
Hebrews 6:1-7 (1:06:00)
Acts 5:33 (1:24:32)
1 John 4:1-3 (1:44:20)
2 Timothy 2:15-25 (2:01:00)
Ecclesiasticus 3:21-25 (2:34:00)
2 Timothy 4:1-4 (2:47:00)
1 Corinthians 14:26 (2:50:00)
Galatians 1:6-10 (2:57:00)
2 John 1:9 (2:58:34)
2 Peter 2:1 (3:06:30)
James 3:1-18 (3:09:23)
Ecclesiasticus 14:1-11 (3:44:00)
Ecclesiasticus 38:24-33 (4:10:14)
Wisdom of Solomon 9:4,17 & 7:22 & 8:9 (4:01:34)
Now it certainly does not take over four hours to read this set of Bible verses, so it was obvious that they were used for the purpose of getting the elders point across. It is a shame that he seems to get carried away so much by his own voice, because GOCC are doing very well, but I have a feeling that they could do even better if his mouth could become a bit quieter, so that his other elders can bring a bit more balance to the way that things are bought out in their videos.
