In this recording I am speaking to a Muslim about the God of the Bible and how serious He is, while the Muslim is obviously unhappy about this and would prefer to serve a lightweight god who is quick to do things to please a womanising bandit. Muslims think that they have an advantage over Christians because they have a God who is slow to judgement and seems to have no problem supporting the selfish actions of his main prophet. When the God of the Bible judges a nation, He will always give them a chance to repent before, but if they ignore that chance they then have to face a serious judgement, because our God seems to be not at all happy with people who ignore the chances that He is giving them. The BIble even explains this to us in the below verses:
Exodus 20:4: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Exodus 20:5: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exodus 20:6: And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
and we can see here why idolaters get such a severe punishment, while the people that love Him and keep His commandments, will get to enjoy the benefits of being shown mercy by Him.
One thing that I like about the God of the Bible is that He is clear when it comes to what He expects His people to do and He will also clearly state what the benefits are of following Him. On the other hand the god of the Quran is unclear and Muslims do not even have any clear instructions in what they should do in order to please their god. Most Muslims seem to prefer staying with their lightweight god, but if the minority of sensible Muslims ever decide to change over to serious and clear speaking God, then the God of the Bible is waiting for them when they decide to change their ways.
