In this clip they are saying that the Messiah will be only human and from the lineage of King David, rather than being someone that God sends from heaven. This would then mean that it would be possible for him to fail, since he would not be the son of a person who can guarantee their pedigree. This also means that the Messiah won't be the one fighting at the battle at Armageddon, so God would now have to find a replacement who has not been tried and tested.
